This Just In: From Moonrider

Category: Non-BikeJohnny @ 1:51 pm

Our own Moonrider forwarded me an email from a former co-worker that was forwarded to him from some other concerned co-worker who received an email from none other than Donald E. Wildmon, Founder and Chairman of the American Family Association, a self-described “pro-family” group out of Tupelo, MS.

They take a stand on such issues as “trusting in god” (Is our children praying?), “meet[ing] at city hall” (ew, gross), “sodomy” (I think they’re against it?), McDonalds (wait, no, nevermind, boycott’s over, bitches), and so forth.

Goddamnit.  I keep trying to google image search Donald Wildmon, and this is all I get.

Wait, I found one from our friends at JewsOnFirst.org:

So anyways, Donald, in his ACTION ALERT! email to his followers says

“Dear Friends,

Want to know why we are in the financial mess we are in? Read this article which appeared in the NEW YORK TIMES ON SEPTEMBER 30,1999. It answers the question.”

Moving past the hilarity of a group like the AFA getting their news from the New York Times, what are you telling us, Donald?

In my cordial reply to Moonrider, I said, “So let me get this straight:

We’re in this financial mess, where homes were sold to people who couldn’t afford them, because homes were sold to people who couldn’t afford them?”

Thanks for that.

xoxo,

Johnny
